Spare Driver - Class 3

GFL Environmental is looking for Spare Drivers to join our team in Abbotsford, British Columbia!

**Applicants must hold a valid Class 3 license (manual preferred)**

This is an on-call position with no set schedule or guaranteed hours. Successful candidates must be flexible and available to support operations across all three lines of business: Commercial Front End, Roll-Off, and Residential Collection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Commercial Front End, Roll-Off, and Residential collection vehicles as assigned

• Safely operate manual transmission vehicles and hydraulic systems

• Complete assigned routes efficiently and according to company standards

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections

• Maintain route quality and safety standards as determined by management

• Maintain accurate records of services performed

• Represent GFL professionally when interacting with customers and the public

• Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times

Requirements:

• Valid Class 3 Driver’s License (Manual Preferred)

• Air Brake Endorsement

• Must be available for on-call work with flexible scheduling

• Ability to work across Commercial Front End, Roll-Off, and Residential lines of business

• Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 pounds repetitively using proper lifting techniques

• Ability to safely operate trucks and related equipment

• Strong commitment to safety and customer service
