The Role

We are seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust data integration solutions. You will focus heavily on real-time data streaming via Apache Kafka and cloud-native ETL pipeline orchestration using AWS Glue. You will collaborate across engineering and product teams to ensure seamless data flows across our entire ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Kafka & Streaming: Build and optimize scalable streaming solutions using Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams.

  • AWS ETL Pipelines: Architect and manage ETL/ELT pipelines and the Data Catalog using AWS Glue to move data efficiently into lakes and warehouses.

  • Cloud Integration: Connect cloud applications and third-party services using AWS Lambda, S3, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.

  • Architecture & Leadership: Champion event-driven architecture and microservices principles. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.

  • Operations & Security: Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and security best practices while maintaining clear system documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in enterprise-level integration engineering.

  • Core Tech: Deep, hands-on experience with Apache Kafka tuning/ecosystem and AWS Glue (ETL, cataloging, orchestration).

  • AWS & Data Ecosystem: Proficiency with S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Redshift, RDS, and DynamoDB.

  • Development: Strong skills in Python, Java, or Scala, alongside strong SQL/NoSQL database experience.

  • Data & APIs: Familiarity with data formats (JSON, Avro, Parquet) and protocols (REST, gRPC).

  • Methodology: Solid grasp of integration patterns, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: Confluent (CCDAK) or AWS (Data Analytics, Developer, Solutions Architect).

  • Tools & DevOps: Experience with Apache Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).
