Residential Cart Delivery Driver

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Deliver & Retrieve: Drive assigned pickup trucks with trailers or ancillary equipment along local routes to deliver, exchange, or collect residential carts.
• Site & Equipment Inspections: Evaluate customer curbsides for safe placement and perform pre- and post-trip vehicle condition inspections to keep equipment running smoothly.
• Load & Unload: Safely move carts to and from trailers manually or using forklifts.
• Be the Face of GFL: Courteously interact with residential customers and the public along your route to answer questions or escalate concerns to management.
• Route & Safety Tracking: Use GPS and route sheets to efficiently navigate tight clearance spaces and backup distances (up to 120+ feet) safely.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Clean loose debris around loading areas and uphold safe, clean operations in compliance with company and safety regulations.

What We’re Looking For (Requirements)

• High school diploma or GED equivalent desired.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain one.
• A clean, satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to safely maneuver trucks in high-traffic and narrow spaces.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, and repetitively lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort working outdoors 100% of the time in varying weather conditions (rain, heat, cold).
