Manufacturing Inventory/Stores Clerk

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management - receive, unpack, verify deliveries against purchase order and packing slip

  • Maintain inventory levels within Inventory Management System (Eptura)

  • Label, store inventory in designated locations within Stores area

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels - according to preestablished min max on critical items

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels on consumable maintenance and production items based on preestablished min max levels

  • Issue parts from work orders and requests to production and maintenance personnel

  • Conduct weekly and quarterly cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels

  • Work in conjunction with Purchasing to ensure reorder lead times do not adversely affect plant efficiency

  • Prepare shipping documentation for return parts, or parts going out for repair/refurbishment

  • Maintain Clean and organized department


 

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

Knowledge & Technical Skills:

  • Eptura or other inventory software proficiency

  • Inventory experience within fast paced Manufacturing Environment

  • Fork truck license an asset - (can be in house trained)

Behavioral Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Methodical attention to detail (cycle counts, inputting of data, reconciliation of stock counts)

  • Meticulous data entry skills

  • Proactive problem solving

  • Ability to collaborate with team members within Procurement Environment, Engineering, Maintenance and Production teams.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 2 to 3 years Inventory in Manufacturing environment

  • Grade 12 min

  • MUST have previous experience with Maintenance/Asset Management software 

  • Fork truck license and/or able to obtain license

Success Criteria / Key Metrics:

  • Inventory levels are maintained - downtime not caused by lack of parts

  • Inventory counts are accurate

  • Inventory input is accurate 

  • Stores area is kept organized and clean

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform manual tasks - including lifting, operation of material handling equipment

  • Lifting up to 25 lbs

  • Bending, Stretching 

Working Conditions & Travel:.

  • Office located in plant environment (MRF Materials Recycling Facility)

  • Work boots required  - PPE provided

  • On site daily not able to work from home

  • Some exposure to weather - heat and cold
