The Role
The HR Project Manager works closely with HR and Integration leadership to define, structure, and implement HR operational improvements across North America. These enhancements span organizational processes, system architectures, enabling technologies, and data-driven insights to align HR capabilities with broader business objectives and deliver measurable value.
We are seeking an experienced HR Project Manager to lead cross-functional implementations of enterprise HR technologies, with a strong focus on Talent Acquisition (TA) platforms and modern workforce benefit solutions. In this role, you will bridge HR/payroll operations, talent acquisition, benefits, and HR systems teams. You will manage overall project roadmaps while executing structured change management strategies to ensure seamless adoption, operational compliance, and an exceptional employee experience across all workforce segments.
In this role, you will lead end-to-end project execution—from initial requirements gathering and documentation through to resource planning, stakeholder alignment, and post-implementation support.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Building: Partner with key HR and business subject matter experts (SMEs) to define requirements and resolve integration challenges across benefits, compensation, payroll, time & attendance, compliance, and organizational design.
Project Planning & Execution: Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, track timelines, manage scope, and apply standardized project management methodologies and change management tools to keep deliverables on course.
Systems & Data Integration: Collaborate with Payroll, IT, Information Security, and third-party vendors to seamlessly integrate new tools and solutions with core HRIS, timekeeping, and payroll engines.
Change Management & Adoption: Formulate and execute end-to-end change management strategies—including stakeholder impact assessments, communication planning, field training programs, and executive buy-in—to drive high adoption among frontline staff, recruiters, and hiring managers.
Compliance & Legal Governance: Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to assess operational risk, ensure data privacy, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and provincial labor and wage regulations.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage external technology partners and coordinate with internal executive sponsors to ensure deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Process Optimization: Map and refine recruitment pipelines and payroll workflows to streamline candidate engagement and enhance employee financial flexibility.
Risk Management & Reporting: Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure project health, post-launch adoption rates, and maintain executive status dashboards.
M&A HR Integration: Provide hands-on project management for Mergers & Acquisitions across due diligence, onboarding, systems integration, and transition to operational HR teams.

Behavioral Competencies:
Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate technical, payroll, and compliance topics into clear concepts for diverse audiences.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive experience as a Project Manager specifically supporting HR operations, technology implementations, or organizational change projects.
Proven track record managing HRIS/HCM systems implementations; Workday project experience is highly preferred.
Experience with M&A HR due diligence and post-merger integrations is preferred.
Solid understanding of Organizational Change Management (OCM) frameworks and strategies to foster user adoption.
PMP, CAPM, Prosci, or CCMP certification is preferred; familiarity with Agile or hybrid implementation methodologies.
