Heavy Duty Mechanic
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair operational issues with heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs using M5 planner; order necessary parts to ensure timely service.
- Complete work orders, reports, and documentation accurately and on time.
- Ensure all repairs comply with company safety standards and government regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Mentor and train new technicians as needed.
- Stay current with technical manuals, training programs, and emerging technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Fully licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic (Journeyperson/Red Seal).
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must meet safety-sensitive role criteria per company standards.
- Must own and maintain a complete set of tools suitable for heavy-duty repair.
