Class 1/3 Vacuum Truck Operator

Position Summary

The Vacuum Truck Operator will work with the Vacuum Truck Services team to provide exceptional service to our clients. Services provided include hydro excavating, septic service, spill cleanup, line flushing, power washing, water hauling, and loading and hauling of various fluids/ material. The chosen individual will perform this diverse range of activities with a focus on safety, professionalism, and teamwork.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate vacuum trucks and industrial equipment in varied field environments.
• Deliver outstanding service while professionally representing the GFL brand on customer job sites.
• Complete thorough daily pre-trip inspections, hazard assessments, and driver logs in full compliance with NSC standards.
• Maintain clear, precise, and timely records, work orders, and job logs for all completed services.
• Active participation in health and safety programs, tailgates, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Perform other operational and supportive duties as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Class 3A or 1A Commercial Driver's License and a Clean Commercial Drivers Abstract and Claims History
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
• Industrial vacuum truck and/or hydro-excavating experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid safety tickets such as First Aid/CPR, Construction Safety Training (CSTS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and H2S Alive are considered an asset.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Safety-focused attitude with experience working in an industrial setting.
• Must be in good health and physical condition to perform physical duties assigned.
