Key Responsibilities

• Operate commercial front-load trucks along designated commercial and multi-family residential routes to collect solid waste or recyclables.
• Transport collected waste safely to transfer stations, landfills, or designated drop-off locations.
• Open container enclosures/gates and roll 3–4 yard containers into position for dumping as needed.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections daily and complete required vehicle condition reports.
• Maintain clean customer sites by cleaning up any loose trash spilled during the dumping process.
• Safely maneuver trucks in tight or low-clearance spaces using mirrors and backing procedures.
• Interact courteously with customers and the general public while representing the company positively.
• Adhere strictly to all local, state, federal, and company safety rules, standard operating procedures, and lock-out/tag-out rules.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum of 1 year of commercial truck driving experience OR a certificate from an accredited CDL school.
• Ability to demonstrate safe truck operation and equipment handling.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria according to company standards.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally push up to 300 lbs on castors.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
