CDL Driver - Local

Pay: $26-$30/hr

This driver will transport, remove, deliver, and collect oil and water from customer sites. Will be required to load and unload trucks. They will also have the ability to operate a variety of truck and equipment including vacuum trucks, box trucks, and any other equipment that fits their license on site if necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate vacuum equipment, and other equipment as needed
• Follow company policies and procedures as well as various on-site

• Provide exceptional service to all clients and professionally represent GFL
• Complete daily equipment pre-trips and driver logs required for compliance
• Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance
• Participate in safety programs such as safety meetings, near miss reporting and job hazard assessments
• Work independently while managing time and productivity and communicate effectively

• Maintain detailed and accurate company documentation to accompany work performed
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Safety-focused attitude with experience working in an industrial setting
• Knowledge to perform minor maintenance on units to maintain efficient operation
• Possesses cleanliness and organizational skills
• Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned.

• Normally home daily but there could be some short-term travel and overnight on occasion

Requirements:

• Valid CDL B with clean driving record.
• Experience in Industrial vacuum truck an asset but not required

• Tanker endorsement required, Hazmat preferred - GFL will assist with obtaining Tanker and Hazmat Endorsement if not currently held.
• Must be able to drive manual transmissions.
