Summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Process Administrator to monitor and support critical business processes across the Liquids West Region, encompassing British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. This vital role acts as the key liaison between business operation teams and technical development teams, ensuring that processes and system solutions are efficient, meet business needs, and adhere to GFL’s best practices.

The successful candidate must be a proactive problem-solver who excels in a deadline-driven environment and is comfortable with frequent travel for training and site support.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide daily first-line support and guidance to users on established operational business processes.

  • Collect, organize and update data as required to support reporting and process improvements.

  • Assist and conduct periodic process audits and reviews to maintain high quality and standardization across the Liquids West Region.

  • Identify any process or data discrepancies and facilitate effective resolutions with users.

  • Maintain and update procedural documentation to ensure all guides are accurate, clear, and easily accessible for all users.

  • Assist and support in rolling out training programs for new and existing users.

  • Travel up to 40-50% as needed to support regional operations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience, Qualifications and Education

  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License.

  • Willing and able to travel up to 40–50% for on-site training and reviews.

  • 1–2 years of experience in business administration or a related field is considered an asset.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.).

  • Demonstrated computer literacy with the ability to navigate multiple software applications efficiently and learn new systems quickly.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Well-spoken and confident communicator, capable of presenting to and training diverse audiences.

  • Proven ability to be self-motivated and deadline-driven with a high degree of reliability.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills are mandatory.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot complex process and system issues.
