The Job:

Maintaining a diverse fleet of over 150 vehicles in the Victoria area, GFL’s maintenance department prides itself on performing most repairs in-house. To support your growth, we provide BC Provincial CVI and CNG fuel system certifications.

As a GFL technician, you’ll work at the forefront of the industry, utilizing advanced telematics and paperless workflows to drive productivity. With access to specialty tooling and cutting-edge electronic diagnostics, you’ll have everything you need to deliver thorough, accurate repairs to OEM standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment.
• Ability to maintain Standard Repair Times. 
• Complete thorough and accurate Preventative Maintenance forms.
• Keep accurate work notes and complete work orders on time in the Fleet Management Software system.
• Effectively repair and communicate with drivers through use of Electronic DVIRs 
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a current Commercial Transport Mechanic program

• Hydraulic diagnostic and experience
• Cummins, Mack and Allison experience preferred
• Cummins Insite, Mack Tech Tool, Allison DOC and Isuzu IDSS software Experience
• Basic hand tools up to and including 1/2"
