Account Manager

Job Duties:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with both new and existing clients.
- Assess customer needs and deliver tailored solutions by leveraging a deep understanding of our full range of service offerings.
- Consistently represent GFL in a professional and positive manner to strengthen brand reputation and visibility.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and operations teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Gather and report on market intelligence, including competitor activity and pricing strategies.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to meet or exceed growth and development targets.
- Willingness to travel as required (approximately 70% travel, 30% office-based).
Requirements:
- Proven business development experience in a competitive, fast-paced industry — or relevant technical experience on industrial sites, even outside of a direct sales role.
- Background in the waste management or industrial services sector is an asset, particularly with large, complex sites requiring integrated service solutions.
- A strong drive for business excellence, with outstanding follow-through and attention to detail.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with industrial services such as shutdowns and turnarounds is an asset but not required.
