Overview:
GFL Environmental is one of North America’s leading waste management companies, proudly making communities cleaner, safer, and happier through first-class service. Working for GFL is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to grow in your career, make new friends, and make a difference each day.

About the Opportunity

Are you a high-energy sales performer with a true hunter mindset? Whether you’re looking to step into a recession-proof, essential industry or take your B2B sales career to the next level, this is your chance to build a lucrative territory in the thriving High Point and Greensboro market.

In the solid waste and environmental services industry, everyone needs our services. Your mission is simple: get out into the field, target competitors, prospect new businesses, and close deals. With a strong base salary to back you up and uncapped commission, your earning potential is entirely in your own hands.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive New Business: Actively prospect, cold call, perform field walk-ins, and target high-value Commercial & Industrial accounts ($200–$2,000+/month revenue potential).

  • Outmaneuver Competitors: Identify market opportunities to win accounts from competitors by demonstrating superior service value and customized pricing structures.

  • Build a Strong Pipeline: Manage your entire sales lifecycle from lead generation to signed agreement using Salesforce.

  • Network & Connect: Elevate company visibility across the Triad region through trade shows, Chamber of Commerce events, and local networking groups.

  • Own the Field: Conduct site visits, evaluate customer logistics, and collaborate with local Operations and Customer Support teams to deliver seamless onboarding.

What We’re Looking For

  • The Hunter Mentality: Driven, resilient, self-motivated, and fiercely competitive with a strong desire to win and exceed growth quotas.

  • Sales Experience: 3+ years of successful B2B sales experience with a track record of beating revenue targets (waste industry experience is a plus, but not required for the right driven closer).

  • CRM & Pipeline Mastery: Proven skill using Salesforce (or similar CRM) to manage daily touchpoints, sales blocks, and pipeline metrics.

  • Relationship Builder: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to win trust with decision-makers on site and in executive offices.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent practical experience).

What We Offer

  • Uncapped Commissions: Unlimited earning potential tied directly to your production.

  • Competitive Base Salary: Stability and support while you build and expand your pipeline.

  • Essential Industry Stability: Work in a high-demand, resilient sector with continuous opportunity for career advancement.

  • Local Market Ownership: Direct focus on expanding market share in the High Point and Greensboro communities.

We thank you for your interest. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
