The Opportunity

As the Equipment Operator you will be responsible for operating multiple self-propelled Agricultural spreader machines on Farmers Fields.


Job Duties

• Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
• Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in order to facilitate prompt correction or reporting
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
• Clean, lubricate and perform other minor maintenance work
• Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation
• Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and operation techniques
• Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with applicable Acts and regulations
• Perform trip inspections on equipment operated and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness
• Maneuver trucks/heavy equipment
• Check vehicles before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
• Assist in loading and unloading of trucks
• Ensure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of truck is cleaned up

• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the equipment
• Other duties that may arise as assigned by supervisor or members of the Management Team.


Required Experience

• Class 5 License
• Farming experience is an asset
• Agricultural experience is an asset
• Ability to life 40 lbs. to perform routine vehicle maintenance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic
• Confident and consistent decisive personality
• Safety conscious


Working Conditions

• 24/7 availability may be required
• Travel to off-site locations will be required
• Overtime as required
