GFL Infrastructure Group’s demolition team has decades of expertise in the demolition and hazardous materials abatement industries.

Job Duties

  • Attend required site visits

  • Estimate demolition and abatement projects

  • Develop processes for completing work

  • Work in conjunction with project Engineer(s) and Consultant(s)

  • Develop and manage project budget, schedules, contracts etc.

  • Manage requirements throughout the duration of the project in conjunction with the Project Manager and Operations Manager

  • Monitor projects from start to finish

  • Identify client requirements

  • Communicate project risks effectively with all involved

  • Ensure project is executed within the scope / budget determined

  • Create / ensure safety and quality control on every project in line with corporate standards

  • Prepare contracts, negotiate changes (change orders)

  • New and repeat business - client management and business development

  • Prepare and communicate internal reports for demolition team and management

  • Work closely / regular communication with Field Operations, Estimators and Administration

  • Complete site inspections to ensure contract / schedule compliance

  • Participate in the resolution of project disputes (internal, supplier or client related)

  • Overseeing various documentation (for example, LEED)

  • Documents for new Project  (Bonding, Insurance Certificates, Form 1000, NOP)

  • Locates (assist Engineer)

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Demolition Estimating experience including hazardous materials abatement

  • Preparing schedules, estimates, quotes and contracts

  • Client interaction

  • H&S legislation, standards, and guidelines

  • MS Project

  • Proficient in Microsoft word, excel

  • Blueprint reading 

  • Quantity Takeoffs 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of COR is an asset

  • Must be able to work in an office environment

  • Frequent travel required
