Summary

As an Inside / Outside Sales Representative you will be responsible for business development, sales and service including, but not limited to all new and existing customers. This will involve Tender, RFP and Documents submissions within the Solid Waste Division in Ontario. They will identify, screen and as needed pre-view new jobs and develop effective and appropriate plans and quotes to successfully grow this section of the Solid Waste Division business. Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities outlined in this job description are not exhaustive.

Job Duties

  • Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services

  • Handle routine customer problems and serve as interface between company and customer

  • Open customer accounts by recording account information

  • Maintain customer records by updating account information

  • Complete documentation and assisting the customer with required paperwork

  • Resolve product or service issues by clarifying the customer’s complaint determining the cause of the issue: selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the issues; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution

  • Maintain and grow revenue at existing customers and provide account management when needed

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

  • Ensure environmental compliance at every stop

  • Inform customers of MOE requirements and regulations for waste products to be shipped from the customer facility

  • Maintain new and existing customer records through the TRUX system

  • Keep abreast of products, market conditions and competitive activities

  • Prepare customer quotes by collecting and analyzing customer information

Requirements

  • Experience in customer relationships and generating new customer relationships

  • 2 or more years of customer based service experience would be beneficial

  • Strong relationship and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to take initiative time management skills and display of professionalism

  • Creative problem solving, organizational and strong team building skills

  • Computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and Power Point

  • Exceptional phone and writing skills

  • Resolving conflict, multi-tasking
